For those who desire to be recognized for their high academic achievements, innovative thinking, and excellent contributions to their community and extracurricular activities should consider applying to Western University’s National Scholarship program. This scholarship is Western’s most prestigious and highest value award, providing financial support while celebrating all around successes.

The program offers several scholarship selections, including the Neen Hodgins National Entrance Scholarship, President’s Entrance Scholarships, James Jenkins President’s Entrance Scholarship for Black Students, and more. All scholarship values range from $2,000 up to $100,000 over four years, helping students reduce financial stress while working up to their potential and pursuing their future goals.

Western’s National Scholarship Program focuses not only on grades, but a student’s overall academic performance, creative thinking, extracurricular accomplishments, and meaningful contributions to their school and community. The primary requirements for this scholarship include a minimum grade 12 average of 90%, application as a first-year undergraduate student and full-time admission to Western University, and a nomination from your high school.

In order to apply to this scholarship, applicants must apply for their admission to Western University and enroll as a full-time undergraduate student. Additionally, you must obtain a high school nomination through your guidance counsellor or principal; however, each school has a limited number of 4 students, so it’s important to strive for the highest level of success during your high school journey. Afterwards, you must complete the online National Scholarship application, which includes essays, transcripts, reference letters, etc. Certain awards, such as the Beryl Ivey Scholarship, contain a supplemental application.

Western University provides a fantastic opportunity to ambitious, outstanding students who are seeking recognition beyond grades, willing to gain financial support, and begin their university journey with greater confidence.
