Here comes an amazing opportunity to volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society Wig Bank and Breast Prosthesis Services.

The Canadian Cancer Society helps people affected by cancer and supports patients and their families across Canada. Its Lodges provide a safe and welcoming place for cancer patients who need to stay away from home while receiving treatment. At CCS, you can volunteer to help create a caring and supportive environment for clients and their families.

The organization is looking for an inventory support volunteer to support its Wig Bank and Breast Prosthesis Services. In this role, volunteers help make sure people affected by cancer can access free wigs and breast accessories.

This is a strong and meaningful step towards making a difference in patients' lives. Your everyday tasks will include entering inventory information, registering clients in the management system, processing shipments, and receiving donated or loaned wigs. You may also help tag wigs, take photos, and complete other tasks to keep the service organized.

This volunteer role is a great opportunity for people who are organized, careful, friendly, and compassionate. An individual with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, or inventory systems is highly encouraged to apply. The mentioned requirements are not necessary to fill out the application. But most importantly, you should enjoy working with a team and communicating with others.

If you are at least 19 years old, this will be an all-rounder opportunity to develop your skillset in management, teamwork and leadership skills. You need to volunteer at least one shift each week, for about 4–6 hours per week. A minimum commitment of six months is required. The Canadian Cancer Society provides training and helps volunteers become part of the team.

Visit the Canadian Cancer Society volunteer opportunities page, choose the role you are interested in, and submit your application with your resume.
